About Kierna

Hi, I'm Kierna! I'm 22 years old, a military brat, and working with children is my passion. I have nine years of childcare experience. I have done every job, from babysitting for a night to being a full-time nanny. I am CPR certified and First Aid trained. I have my own transportation. I am fluent in Spanish, and learning ASL. For the last 3 years, I have been working in BCPS as a Paraeducator for Inclusion and Self-Contained Special Education classes. Through this opportunity, I have gained experience and respect for children with special needs and their families. I am knowledgeable about AAC devices and life skills development. I can lift up to 50 lbs and can assist with toileting needs. I have experience with crisis prevention and de-escalation. Most importantly, I am flexible and patient. Currently, I am looking for one-time gigs while I am pursuing my Bachelor's of Special Education at Towson University. Please feel free to reach out!
