Hey! My name is Kiara. I was born and raised in the Boston area, I've been living in the Raleigh area for about a year now and I absolutey love it! I graduated from Wheelock college (now under Boston University) in May of 2017, earning my bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education and Developmental Psychology with a minor in visual arts! I have about 15 years experience babysitting ages ranging from infant to 14years old. I am a certified infant/toddler teacher, and preschool/pre-k teacher, with about 8 years in the field. I also have experience working with children on the spectrum, both verbal and non-verbal of various ages. I am familiar with ASL, it's a great way to communicate! I am CPR/First Aid certified, as well as keeping up to date with all sorts of trainings. I love to read, explore the arts, both art and music, and let the child pave the way to imaginative play. I also enjoy playing games outside, weather permitting of course. (though a little rain won't hurt)

Kiara was absolutely lovely. She cares for our younger son for 3 months two days a week while we waited in his spot with daycare. She was with him from age 3-6 months. She followed our directions exactly, was always on time and had a positive attitude. She is shows up ready to work and is so creative with a little one! She would read him books, show him toys, take him for walks and did plenty of tummy time. She treated our son lovingly and we are sad to see her go. She also helped with our toddler 1-2 times and was great with him too. Were it not for the fact that she had another position and we have our oldest already in the same school, we might have kept her. I will contact her for babysitting for sure!!
