I tutored for a national agency for 5 years. From 2007 -2013 I worked for a private agency. I have also done some individual work for children of peers with whom I have worked or known. Often when an individual is having trouble learning in a particular setting, I find that they are capable of learning in a different setting with the material presented in a different manner. It is often difficult for teachers with classroom sizes of 25 and higher to adjust to meet every student's learning style.

Ken was outstanding! I hired him to help me with high school algebra as I had my GED exam in 3 days and wasn't understanding algebra. Math is a language that my brain just never understood. I hired him for 4 hours each day to help. He was punctual. He was always in great spirits and he was kind and patient with me. Understanding math is a whole other language and whenever we hit a wall, I just said "I don't get it" and we took a few steps back to help me understand. Never did he make me feel stupid or useless (like our own insecurities can make is us feel when we don't understand something).
