About Kendra

I was unable to continue in making my profile unless I choose an option for "certifications": I am not a certified teacher, but, I have had past experience tutoring kids at their homes (after-school), in addition to, working at schools for 12+ years. In those years, I helped students with their learning inside of the classroom as well as out (I worked for an after-school program in the city I grew up in). Paramount Unified and Garden Grove Unified School Districts can vouch for my caring and focused work during my employment. :-) I'd describe my personality as patient, kind, and quiet. I like tutoring because the love of learning was instilled in me at a young age by my parents. As an adult, I enjoy helping kids learn and grow in their knowledge of math, reading (words and comprehension), as well as exercising (in the summers, I teach swimming lessons). :-) My skills include patience, communication, and a calm demeanor.
