About Kelsey

As a current elementary teacher and former special education teacher, I take tutoring seriously, but I understand the importance of learning in a caring and compassionate environment. I currently teach 2nd grade but have 5 years of experience teaching in special education grade K -12. Currently trained in IMSE Comprehensive Phonics Training. This training utilizes the science of reading to teach a child to learn how to read as opposed to memorizing words. As a reading teacher I realize that learning to read and write is a process.
