About Kelly

I earned my Bachelors of Education in Special Education (PreK-Grade 8) and PreK-Grade 4 Education. I spent two years working as a special education teacher for grades 7 and 8 followed by three years working as a special education teacher in K through third grade general-education settings. After moving back to Pittsburgh, I taught in a special-education school in grades K-6 working primarily with students with emotional disturbances. Prior to beginning my teaching career, I spent about 2 years working in residential homes for adults with disabilities, where I was responsible for the care of clients (hygiene routines, cooking, feeding, goals, data collection, medication administration, etc.). I also worked as a teacher in the 1-year-old classroom at a daycare prior to having my own child, when I quit to be a stay-at-home mother, which I have been doing for the last 3. 5 years. I am currently a stay-at-home mom, so would love to find families willing to allow my daughter to be with me.
