About Kelly

Hello! My name is Kelly. I am 23 years of age. I grew up in New York but spent the last 7 months nannying for three different families. I decided I will be moving back home to Long Island to finish my education. I have always had a passion for working with children of all ages. I am very outgoing and enjoy staying busy. I began college for two years and studied Early Childhood Education. During that time I nannied for a few different families. The last year I was in NY 2012-2013 I nannied a loving family of four children ages 1, 3, 4, and 9. I cared for them for long hours of the day (7 a.m. -6 p.m. ), almost every day of the week. I enjoyed spending time with the family as well with helping out with birthday parties and things of that nature. During the summer time I would take the kids swimming, to the local pool, or the beach. I would also take them to get ice cream, lunch, and sometimes to do other fun activities such as "build a bear" or "Plaster Fun Craft." Most of the days we would play outside and if the weather wasn't to nice we would go to the library for hours! I also was an art student growing up so I would love coming up with fun, unique crafts to do with them as well! I also would take the kids to the park on most days. I liked to keep them busy. On rainy days I would also play variety of games and board games with the kids. With four it was always best to stay busy! These past seven months I cared for three infants who are now 4 months and the two boys are 5 months. I worked two days a week for each family. One of the families also has a 2-year-old I cared for as well. I am now very comfortable with children of all ages and know one day I will have all the experience I could ever need when I become a mother! Between living in NY and SC I was in the United States Air Force. I was running low on funds for school and decided to join to help with benefits and also help me pursue my goal of getting a degree in teaching and becoming an early childhood education teacher. After the first year I was honorably discharged because of a past injury but it's now fully heeled. I decided I would love to go back to nannying a loving family while I continue to further my education and obtain a degree. I am very dedicated and love helping out a family in need!
