Experience: 15 yrs
Hi there! I'm a 33-year-old childcare professional with 15 years of experience as a nanny. I've had the great joy of helping to raise over a dozen young humans over the course of my career, in addition to babysitting for countless others. I have made child care my life's work and I truly love what I do. My typical availability on a weekly basis is Thursday and Friday 8:30AM-3 p.m. The family for whom I do after school care are able to be flexible on their afternoon timing, so I can push that end time if needed. I'm also open for occasional babysitting, date nights etc! Qualities which inform my work: -patience and kindness above all -routine and structure -both mindfulness of safety and an encouragement of healthy risk-taking within reason -learning and teaching through play -love of nature and appreciation of Mother Earth -an informed approach to child development

It is heartbreaking to even write this, because if I could have Kelly in our lives every day of the year for eternity I would! Sadly, our little guy is heading into school territory and our full time arrangement is shifting. Kelly has truly been one of the best and luckiest things to happen to our family. A few highlights: 1. She is incredibly reliable. Never late, never calling out sick, always on top of her schedule; 2. She not only protects and keeps our child safe but makes it a huge priority to instill valuable lessons and learnings on a daily basis. Our guy has taken so many positive things from his time with her and she is very much responsible for his becoming a well-adjusted, kind, and respectful toddler (still a toddler, of course, but much better off than your average bear!); 3. Her warm, patient, non-judgmental, kind, gentle, and laidback demeanor has been wonderful to have around the house and in our lives (and please don't mistake "laidback" for "lackadaisical", as she is very much organized, proactive, and always brings her A-game!). She has helped us navigate the pandemic, potty-training, socialization, and language skills. We owe so much to her. Whoever gets the opportunity to work with her next, you are very, very lucky indeed!
