About Kelly

I started teaching in 2008. I have taught adults returning to the work force and studying to refresh their skills and to pass entrance exams. I have also taught elementary, middle and high school students as a substitute. I love to help students of all levels strengthen their reading and writing skills. I can also be a great resource for math students. I am creative, thoughtful and loyal. I see the importance of having another way of looking at a problem and the benefit of discussing our own understanding. Having a tutor requires that students explain how I will always put the student's needs first. I will communicate clearly all progress and/or problems. My skills include grammar/writing, reading skills and basic math.. I can really help students develop skills tackling non-fiction text. In my spare time, I like yoga, long walks, going to plays/concerts and reading.
