I have enjoyed my time working as a caregiver with children from infants to teenagers since 1992, in both group childcare and individual families. In that time I was fortunate enough to have had positions such as running a classroom program for Preschool/Kindergarten children for 12 years, training from Head start, classes and seminars for children with unique needs, and being a Nanny for some phenomenal children and their families. Making sure children's individual needs are met is very important to me as this helps them to have successful learning experiences as a strong foundation to build on. Although working in group situations is effective and satisfying, the fast pace can create challenges to absolute fulfillment for each child, opening my awareness to the benefits of working with an individual family. I am returning to the work world after a 2 year leave from teaching to care for a family member and would like to be available to a family for 15-20 hours per week.
