I graduated nursing school in 1998 and have always worked in home care even prior to graduation as a home health aide. When I became a registered nurse I worked on a medical surgical unit for 3 years. After being understaffed, I knew I needed a change and turned to what I loved, assisting individuals in their home. I worked as a geriatric and hospice nurse specializing in dementia/Alzheimer's for 11 years then as a special needs pediatric nurse for 6 years. I am currently an independent nurse contractor working for the state of Massachusetts for a quadriplegic on a ventilator. I also tutor and take care for children in all levels and areas of academics ranging from preschool to high school.
