My rates are $25+ an hour. I'm a 27-year-old recent comp-sci honors graduate. Since the early age of 6, I've always looked after my cousin, who has an intellectual disability and a speech impediment. At the age of 10, I had to take care of an additional cousin. As the big cousin and knowing that their mother was suffering from schizophrenia, I felt obligated to help as much as I can. I've babysat them occasionally for over 10 years. Over that period I would: 1. Help them with their H. W. and answer any appropriate questions they had. 2. Make healthy snacks before dinner or after dinner. 3. Interact and play time with them, rather it was using our imaginations, arts and craft, dance parties, going out to the park, playing a board or video game, or have T. V. time together. 4. Get them ready for bed & read to them as they dosed off. I've worked with many children outside of family & one quality that I realize that all children posses is their desire for knowledge, structure and fun!
