As a child, one of my earliest memories was playing with bugs outside in the Las Vegas heat. I look forward to the opportunity to share this love for nature & curiosity with your children. With my experience as a camp counselor, teaching assistant, and full time Big Brother, I have sharpened my tools in attending to multiple children's needs, supporting emotional growth, and communicating with kids effectively. I hope to mix in my ingredients of music, mindfulness, and outdoor play to cultivate a nurturing environment for your child(ren)

I'll put the most important part first: if you are thinking of working with Kaylyn, don't hesitate and book him! We could not have been happier with his work, and we would strongly and wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone who asks. More detail for anyone who is interested... We were looking for someone to help with our newborn in the wee hours of the morning (we're talking ungodly early, starting at 5am each day), just so I could get at least a few hours of sleep when my partner went back to work. We put out the job listing on Care.com with no expectation that anyone would take us up on it. However, Kaylyn reached out and seemed genuinely interested, so we set up a time to meet. During our initial visit, he came across as one of the kindest, most genuine people we had ever met. His references were all positive, so we decided to give it a shot. He did not have extensive experience in caring for newborns, but he showed up fully willing to learn and do everything he could to make sure he was taking the best care of our child. Within a few days, we had learned that we could fully trust Kaylyn to arrive on time, to know what our baby needed, and to make sure he got through each morning well taken care of. We also have a 2-year-old daughter, and Kaylyn did a great job watching over her when she woke up on the early side. He stuck to our rules (e.g., no TV in the morning) while also keeping her entertained and well fed. In addition, Kaylyn was very flexible and was able to help out with some additional hours when we requested it. Beyond that, Kaylyn was such a positive presence in our house each morning, from the time he first picked up the baby in the early morning to the time he handed him back at the end of his shift. All in all, we will always be grateful for the work that Kaylyn did in helping to keep me mentally sane during some of the toughest months of the newborn phase. While we are parting ways (as our baby is now stretching out his sleep cycles enough that we don't need someone in the early morning as much anymore), we truly cherished our time working with him and know that he will make other families just as happy in the future!
