About Kaylene

Unlocking a student's unique potential through personalized support is the cornerstone of my teaching practice. With 19 years of experience teaching and a graduate degree, I specialize in elementary education, including Math, English, and test preparation. My approach centers on building confidence and fostering a genuine love for learning. I adapt my methods by observing how you interact with new material, utilizing visual aids, hands-on activities, and open communication to ensure success. I hold certifications as a Certified teacher, Individualized Education Programs (IEP), and Student accommodation plans (504). Whether we meet at your home, a library, or online, I break down complex concepts into manageable steps to keep you motivated. Witnessing your "aha!" moment when a difficult concept finally clicks is the most rewarding part of my work. I truly look forward to partnering with your family to help you reach your academic goals.
