About Kayla

I'm passionate about nurturing children's growth and development. My gentle nature, combined with my friendly demeanor, creates a welcoming environment where children feel safe and encouraged to explore their full potential. My most recent childcare experience was helping an 8-year-old girl weekly with her homework and planning fun activities for us to do in the neighborhood after I picked her up from school. When I was younger, I also would regularly volunteer for afterschool programs (e. g., Head Start) where I would interact with a diverse group of elementary school students. I hold a graduate degree, and feel comfortable engaging with children in activities that enhance their cognitive skills and problem-solving abilities. I believe in open and transparent communication with parents, regularly updating them about their child's day and promptly addressing any concerns that may arise.
