About Kayla

Hello, I am a college student who graduated with an advanced diploma at Colgan Highschool and took the Teachers4Tomorrow college course and participated in the Educator's Rising organization. I worked as a swim coach lead at SwimKids for 1 year, teaching kids from ages 1-17 years. Lastly, I have 1 year experience working as a teachers aide- half of which was in a special needs classroom. I have a passion for education and children, so my goal is to become a teacher! My approach to education is one that incorporates the child and their interests as much as possible. In my college course, I learned about many of the fundamental sciences behind child development, and I will continue building upon that at NOVA.
