About Kayla

With four years of in-school experience teaching young children how to read and write from a point of near-zero literacy, I have developed a research-driven approach to early childhood literacy, specializing in students aged 2-6 years. These methods are not just effective with young children but can be applied to bring struggling students of any age range into alignment with state standards. I am being awarded my Masters in Education in Spring 2022 and have been lucky to have the time to be so immersed in a community of educational specialists sharing resources about best practices. Over the last two years I have been responsible for conducting classes online and so feel comfortable teaching in that online space. I like to hike with my husband when we have time together and I hope one day to be fully committed to teaching literacy exclusively.
