About Kay

After early retirement I discovered my passion to care for senior citizens. I have worked in this field for approximately nine years. I am a CNA and specialize in dementia care. I have experience with difficult behaviors, Pseudobulbar Affect (PBA), and weaknesses caused by a stroke . My experience includes assisting with activities of daily living, personal hygiene, companionship, supporting independence, mobility assistance, gait belt use, wheel chair transfers, range of motion exercises, transportation to medical appointments, errands and grocery shopping and many other facets of caring for seniors. My greatest quality is that I care about people and show compassion and am able to relate to those who need care. I try to become a good friend upon whom they can rely.
