About Kaya

My tutoring style is kind yet disciplined. I want the time we spend together to help your child succeed. I like to start with an informal self assessment to see where the child is and go from there. My goal is for your student to feel comfortable with the material and empowered to conquer new challenges as they arise. My undergraduate degree is in American Studies, which is an interdisciplinary field that blends history, sociology, and cultural studies. My particular focus integrated environmental studies and I have over a year of experience in environmental education. I also have a minor in Studio Art, and my focus was primarily in ceramic sculpture.
