About Katy

My name is Katy and I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and Child Development. In addition, I have over 10 years of professional nannying experience! I want to be transparent that I will be bringing my son with me while providing care. I see this as a wonderful opportunity for children to develop social skills, practice cooperation, and build healthy relationships in a small, close-knit environment. My caregiving philosophy is rooted in attachment. I believe children thrive when they feel safe, connected, and understood. I prioritize understanding the emotions, needs, and developmental factors that drive behavior. Children need safe, supportive adults who can help them process emotions, communicate their needs, and build healthy coping skills. When children feel accepted in their emotional experiences, they develop stronger self-awareness, resilience, and confidence. I believe true regulation develops through connection and co-regulation.
