About Katrina

I am a special education teacher, certified in the state of Florida. I am currently certified in the following: - K-12 exceptional student education - ESOL endorsement - specialization/endorsement in autism (pending) I've been a special education teacher for 10 years, six of those years being in a high school environment. My area of specialization is in autism, although I've worked with students who have had various disabilities, including intellectual challenges, severe emotional disturbances (now referred to as behavioral disorders), and learning disabilities. I have experience in teaching students who are on a standard diploma track (Language Arts, Biology, Algebra I, Geometry), as well as special diploma. I was also a club sponsor and am familiar with event planning, conducting meetings, and was very involved with community service activities. I've tutored various levels of students, ranging from elementary to college level.
