About Katie

I have extensive knowledge of the health care system. I have spent 20 years working in the ER/ICU (cardiac). Recently family illness has forced me to cut down on hours. When I was in the hospital setting I always told my patients and families that I would treat their loved ones in the way I would expect mine to be treated. I'd describe my personality as fair, firm, empathetic. I like caring for seniors because they have a wealth of knowledge that is so valuable. It's not easy to get old and lose your faculties but despite that respect is still warranted. And I value their knowledge and respect it. I'm looking for a job that gives me flexible hours while my 3 youngest children are in school. Weekends perhaps, there is some leeway. In my spare time, I like to spend as much quality time with my mother (recent cancer) and kiddos as much as possible One thing you should know about me is I always give my all. My 3 top senior skills are patience, redirection, and validation.
