About Katie

I'd describe my personality as outgoing, empathetic, and adaptable. I like tutoring because it gives me the opportunity to share my passion for learning and education. I'm looking for a job that is consistent and engaging in which I can help students improve in their school work! I started tutoring when I was a freshman in high school, and I have been doing it ever since. In my spare time, I like to crochet and read books- Barnes&Nobel is my ultimate favorite story! One thing you should know about me is I prefer transparent and open communication. The better I know the student in a wholistic sense, the more progress I make with them in the academic realm! My skills include organization, creating fun memorizing tools such as songs and acronyms, and behavioral management strategies to redirect/address any tension within the student.
