About Katie

Hi, my name is Katie. I have extensive care working with infants and toddlers, with excellent references to back that up. I have also taught preschool. Therefore, I have education in early childhood development, proper developmental milestones and developmentally appropriate playtime activities for infants and toddlers. I am also CPR and First-Aid trained. I consider younger children my speciality. However, I have worked with all ages, newborn-18 years old. I am the oldest of 4 children, and I have been babysitting since I was 11. So caretaking comes naturally to me. I do have a degree from Mizzou (in Journalism, actually). However, after working in the field for a short time, I left and returned to caretaking. I have worked at a doggy daycare, nannied and worked at two preschools. I also housesit and pet sit for many of my nanny clients. All together, I have over 20 years of experience. I have a reliable car. I love animals. I am also Covid vaxed and get a yearly flu shot.
