About Katie

In the 10+ years, I have been providing child care, I spent three years as Program Assistant a for a children's club. A few years working as a nanny and many years as a babysitter. At the club, I was offered many opportunities to expand my skills and work with a diverse group of children with a wide range of talents and abilities. Some of my responsibilities included teaching the babysitting course, providing K-8th homework help, providing basic music lessons and supervising outings. As a nanny, my responsibilities included offering personal care as needed, cooking, light housekeeping, providing first aid, transporting children and going on business trips with the mother and infant. While babysitting, I enjoy sharing my hobbies with the children I care for because it allows me to easily incorporate fun educational opportunities into the time I spend with them. Some of my hobbies include cooking, gardening, other outdoor activities, music and crafts.
