About Katie

Hi! My name is Katie and I am looking for a part-time position working with kids. I am a certified Early Childhood and Elementary Education teacher. I also have my Master's Degree in Special Education. Since having my own children, ages 2 and 18 months, I've been a stay-at-home-mom and I am excited about the opportunity to work with more children again! At this time, I am hoping to provide care in my own home, similarly to an in-home daycare situation. I worked professionally with children ages 6 weeks to 12, for at least 12 years and I have years of personal experience far beyond that! I have worked in childcare center settings, schools, and homes. My approach toward my work is to learn from the children I spend my time with. To explore, create, play, learn, and grow with them in ways that are meaningful and inspiring to them. I love working with children and feel blessed to have the opportunity to spend my time with them. I look forward to learning more about you and your family.
