About Katie

I have ample amount of experience working with children, ranging from nannying and babysitting to working at preschools and daycare. My experience is with children age birth to 12 years old, with the majority of that being with children 2 - 6 years old. I began working in childcare during my junior year in high school, where I worked with children age 3-5 years old. My responsibilities included creating weekly lesson plans, creating and working on art projects, working with the kids on the calendar, numbers, alphabet and writing skills and basic day-to-day activities. I have also been an assistant director at a preschool in the Denver area, as well as a Pre-K lead teacher. I also have experience changing diapers and working with children as they become potty trained. I am skilled in improving fine and gross motor skills as well as social skills. I am infant and toddler CPR certified. My teaching and caregiving philosophy includes using patience and compassion first and foremost.
