About Katie

Hi, my name is Katie and I have over 12 years of experience caring for children of all ages. I am a Licensed Master's Social Worker and specialize in working with children, youth, and families. I work for Head Start and work each day to promote the social and emotional development of children ages 0-5. I am also a Triple P Positive Parenting Program Practitioner. I work with parents to address challenging behaviors that they may be experiencing with their children. I also work with these parents to develop healthy ways of managing stress. I have extensive knowledge of child development which allows me to positively care for children. I believe kids should spend as little time in front of electronics as possible. I do not watch TV with the children I care for unless it is requested by the parents. I love playing games, doing arts and crafts, and reading.
