About Katie

Hello! My name is Katie. I am a caring and compassionate early childhood education professional with 12 years of child care experience. As a Special Education Assistant for Sharon Public School's Early Childhood Program, I work with preschool aged children with and without disabilities offering academic, social, emotional, and behavioral support in the classroom. I also have experience working with children as a babysitter, camp counselor, and direct care counselor. I have always loved working with kids and I enjoy building a positive and trusting relationship with each child. Patient and attentive, I am committed to maintaining a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for the children I care for. l incorporate fun and developmentally appropriate play/activities; arts & crafts, dramatic/pretend play, social-emotional learning, and sensory play are some of my favorites! In my free time, I love to hike, travel, practice yoga, and play with my chocolate lab, Moose!
