I met Katie when she was completing her student teaching practicum at the school where I am employed. She worked alongside a very talented second grade teacher. Fast forward 2 years, and I learn that Katie is going to be my son's 1st grade teacher in our town! I was thrilled to have a connection with his teacher and she immediately put us both as ease (we were new to town) and established a positive relationship with my son right from the start. Katie's strong education concentration in reading made me confident that my son would be working very hard to meet benchmarks and move beyond. While she recognized his potential, she was not only focused on the level of reading and made it clear to us that she wanted him to be able to be comprehending texts in a more advanced manner before jumping from level to level quickly. We had a great experience with Ms. K and confidently recommend her for tutoring!
