About Katie

I started babysitting when I was 12 years old. In the beginning, I occasionally watched my younger cousin and then began watching my neighbors children. Later, I transitioned into working at a daycare during my senior year of high school where I worked primarily with toddlers, but I occasionally visited the other rooms to assist various other teachers. While I was attending Penn State Brandywine, I work at a local church on weekends and watched children of parents that were at mass. I have been working at this church now for 4 years and I really enjoy the work I do. In addition, I also worked at a home daycare last summer, where I watched children from 4 weeks to 5 years of age. I love working with children and helping them learn new ideas and concepts. I love seeing that light bulb go off over their head. My hobbies and interests include; reading, participating in sports, swimming, and arts & crafts, among other things. I am a passionate animal lover and get along well with all animals. I am a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in American Studies and am currently interested in pursuing my teaching credentials.
