About Katie

Hi! My name is Katie, and I have been in St Pete for about 5 years now. I am the cofounder of a community-based nonprofit, which takes most of my time and energy, but with our current programming I am available for more part-time work. I graduated from Indiana University with a degree in recreational therapy, where I gained valuable skills and experiences working with children and adults with varying abilities. I have spent the last 8 years working in the human services field. My roles have included rehab therapist, skills development specialist, resource coordinator, case manager, and personal assistant. I have been in various settings, such as schools, hospitals, and in the community. No matter which position, it always included advocating, supporting, and providing direct care and services with compassion, integrity, and encouragement.
