Hi! My name is Katia and I am a certified elementary school teacher in New Rochelle where I am currently teaching kindergarten but have also taught fifth grade, and 4th grade in my current school. Prior to working in New Rochelle, I was a first grade teacher for one year and a kindergarten teacher for three years in the Bronx, NY. In September I will be entering my 8th year as a Head Classroom Teacher. I have a Masters degree in both early childhood and childhood education. Prior to obtaining a full time teaching position, I was an AIS (Academic Intervention Reading Specialist) Teacher and a teaching assistant at Daniel Warren in Rye Neck, NY. Throughout my five years in Rye Neck, I was able to gain experience working with students in Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 4th grade. I am enthusiastic and committed, offering high dedication to student development and relevant educational needs! I look forward toward to working with your child!

Katia has been working with our 4 year old for the past three months and it has been fantastic. She is very punctual, organized and very patient. We tried a few other tutors but Katia is one step above the competition. We have already begun seeing progress with our daughter. She is great with kids and really knows how to keep their attention to help them thrive. Our daughter loves her and looks forward to see her.
