About Katia

I started working with animals when my family got a baby Shiba Inu. We all attended dog training classes together and I learned some fundamental skills for a kind yet firm training style. Our dog is well-behaved and it brings us all peace of mind to trust him alone and around others! In my spare time, I like to exercise, draw, read, practice music instruments and study foreign languages. My strongest skill is attentiveness, noticing how an animal is feeling from their body language and accommodating their needs, such as calming down anxiety or engaging them when they're excited to play. I also notice and respect each animal's individuality and differences in how they socialize and play. Most importantly I know how to speak in a calm, firm manner to communicate commands, as well as give generous praise for good behavior!
