About Kathryn

Ever since I was a young girl, I have loved children. My mother said that I "mothered" my two younger siblings. While growing up, I babysat as much as possible. After I married, I was anxious to have children of my own; had 2 girls and 1 boy. I was a very involved hands-on mom. I loved being home and raising my children. I enjoyed teaching them all how to read and swim in deep water by age four. I also taught Sunday school for young children. When my older 2 children began school, I started keeping 1 or 2 kids . For 20 summers, I taught swimming lessons for kids. When my son started school, I volunteered at my children's schools, did some nanny work, and substitute taught in the school system for pre-k to 12th grade. I have held 3 live-in nanny positions in the DC area. I have kept and cared for children since 1993. mine is working with children. Children are drawn to me and I am drawn to them. I treat children like my own.
