About Kathryn

I began studying Mandarin Chinese in 2008. In the summer of 2009, I studied abroad in Beijing. In June 2011, I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Communication and East Asian Studies. I can read, speak, and write Chinese and I am still actively learning the language. I am passionate about teaching it to others, especially children. I have years of experience in childcare, taught tennis lessons to children for 2 summers, and have participated in several extracurricular programs in which I tutored various students, ranging from elementary to university students. Chinese is an important language to learn because it creates a gateway to the Asian world and it is invaluable in the increasingly globalized business world. Give your child or children an opportunity to learn how to the most spoken language in the world.
