About Kathryn

Hi, hello! My name is Katie and I have been working with kids for about 10 years! I started as a babysitter for a kiddo who has autism when I was 15 and from there, I was hooked! I continued through high school and university, took extensive coursework in childhood education, and completed three years of research in family systems. After graduating, I taught for two years as a Lead Teacher at a respected preschool (loved my toddlers!) before being scooped up to work as a private nanny. After that, I transitioned to utilizing my degree for in-home counseling and crisis work. I absolutely love working with kids and can often be found singing, completing crafts, using baby sign language, and dancing around. I love utilizing the community, finding new parks and museums to try, and engaging in educational play. I have a reliable Prius that my past kids named "The Little Egg" and I'm happy to help families with kiddos, light house keeping, errands, and sleep training.
