I can’t recommend Kate highly enough. She provided afterschool care for our children (ages 9 and 12), including reliably driving them to and from activities, and she did it all with a level of professionalism, warmth, and initiative that immediately set her apart.   Beyond keeping the kids safe, happy, and on schedule, she consistently went above and beyond with the day-to-day tasks that keep a household running smoothly. On a typical day she would wash and put away dishes, prepare the kids’ lunches, have snacks ready for after school, and complete household tidying tasks. Additionally, she would take care of the kids’ laundry every week and complete more in-depth organizational projects such as putting our well-used craft room back in order on an as needed basis. What impressed me most was that she didn’t need to be asked—she noticed what needed doing and simply took care of it and was always game to take on a task to make our home run smoothly whenever she had downtime.   She is exceptionally reliable and dependable, always punctual, and very calm and capable. Just as importantly, she’s genuinely cheerful and positive, which made afternoons feel lighter for everyone in our home. She also put real thought into engaging the kids—coming up with creative, age-appropriate ways to connect with them, keep them interested, and make downtime feel fun rather than just.   While her primary role was with our older two, she also occasionally cared for our youngest (age 4) and was equally skilled with him—patient, attentive, and wonderfully tuned in to what he needed. It takes a special caregiver to move seamlessly between different ages and personalities, and she did it with ease.   Any family would be fortunate to have Kate caring for their kids. She’s proactive, trustworthy, and truly excellent with children—and she made a meaningful, positive difference in our home.
