About Kathleen

I am a NYS Certified Teacher in General and Special Education and hold a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Grades K-6. I can help your child gain confidence in their academics by developing their organizational, time management, and study skills. I believe in making learning fun and relating school work to real life. That's how to keep children engaged! I am currently teaching in Suffolk County Public Schools in Dix Hills and Northport K-5. I live in Dix Hills and am looking for part-time work in close proximity to my home. I am familiar with NYS Common Core Learning Standards. I am available to tutor (and other services) during the summer months after 2 p.m. M-Th and all day Fri-Sat to prepare your child for school in September 2024. I can provide excellent references, certifications, fingerprinting background, and portfolio for your review.
