As a nurse I'm able to manage many chronic conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, COPD, CHF, and other clinical issues that may arise. I'm experienced with memory care, medication management, blood glucose monitoring, wound care, communications with healthcare providers, fall risk prevention, etc. In addition to companionship, I'm happy to monitor meds, attend to personal care needs, run errands, handle shopping, prep meals, go on outings & appointments, tidy up, care for pets or just relax around the house. Our family could not say enough great things about Kathleen. She was so good with our elderly father. She cared for him for about four months. He really felt like she was his 'buddy'. She was "his" Kathleen. He had cognitive challenges, was not trusting of strangers and really struggled with giving up his independence. Kathleen really helped him process through all of that.
