About Kathleen

Hi! I'm Kathleen. I struggled with reading as a child, and wish I would have had access to the Orton Gillingham reading method. I have been a tutor for four years, and am trained in Brainspring's Orton-Gillingham Level I Phonics First. I am also trained in Pre-K Orton Gillingham phonological awareness, and in multisensory reading comprehension strategies. I'm here to help your Pre-K-grade 3 child become a skilled reader while having fun. Each session will be 50 minutes, virtually, using Zoom and Seesaw. Sessions can be scheduled 1-3 times per week, based on need. Multisensory phonics based: touch, sight, movement, and hearing are all incorporated into each lesson. Games reinforce skills.
