I worked at a facility in Iowa City (Oaknoll Retirement) for 7 years. There, I learned how to care for elders with the highest level of knowledge, empathy, respect and dignity for them. I loved my job and it showed as I received the Johnson County- Going the Extra mile CNA of the Year award only after 2 years of working at Oaknoll. I have direct patient care experience in general nursing home, short stay unit (physical rehab), memory care unit, psych care unit and a medical surgery unit.
