About Katherine

Hi there! My name is Katie. Since I was about 10 years old, I have loved babysitting whenever I've had free time. This affinity for taking care of others eventually manifested in me applying for nursing schools my senior year of high school. During nursing school whenever I could, I babysat and provided care for young adults with special needs and older adults who need help with activities of daily living. I completed my capstone at St. Louis Children's Hospital, where I proceeded to work for a year and a half after graduating. I loved my job there so very much, but felt like my chapter there was beginning to come to a close; so I moved to Chicago in March of 2023. I have been working in the Lurie Children's Pediatric Intensive Care Unit ever since, and have cherished every second. But since moving to Chicago, I have missed babysitting and care taking so much. I work nights and my schedule changes every week, but I would love to coordinate with you the best I can!
