I recently took a CNA class with the Red Cross, and to finish up the 5 week course, we spent 24 hours in a Nursing home caring for the residents. It made me feel so good knowing I was making their day just a little bit easier. The best part of my time at the Nursing Home was being able to sit down and talk to the Residents and get to know them. Too often, people who reside in Nursing Homes feel neglected and as a CNA and current undergraduate Nursing Student, my job and goal is to make sure they are aware of their worth and value and get the care and attention they deserve.
