About Katherine

Hi! My name is Katherine M and I am originally from Connecticut. Throughout high school I babysat many kids, from three families. One family has a child with Down syndrome, one family has two young girls ages 4 and 6, and one family has two girls and one boy. The boy is 3 and the girls are 6 and 13. I also grew up taking care of my four younger cousins. I have been certified 3 times in CPR training, and have taken Early Childhood Education classes in high school. I have taken a class called "Medcareers" which outlines the idea of medical care, and taking care of wounds. I took a deeper look into this topic at John Hopkins University when I attended a summer medical information camp for two weeks where I did research with surgeons and learned basic medicine in a hospital. I also volunteered at Middlesex Hospital ER in a neighboring town from my home in Connecticut, where I shadowed physicians. I am a Biology major at University and love kids!
