About Katherine

Hi, I'm Kate! I have always loved working with children, and began babysitting around age 14 with my niece and 2 nephews. At 16 years old, I began working part-time in a children's nursery with infants through pre-K (age 4) children. In this job, I became skilled at balancing the needs and safety of multiple children in a fast-paced environment. I enjoy interacting with children and seeing the world through their lens as they play and learn new things. I graduated from The University of Alabama with my B. S. degree and a job as an EHS Specialist. After 1. 5 years, I fell in love with flying and left my job and to pursue flight school full-time. Now, 7 pilot ratings later, I landed a job as a flight instructor in Indy, where I am currently teaching student pilots how to fly as I build towards my 1500 flight hours needed for the airlines. I'm seeking part-time work with a family that has early morning or evening needs, or a family who may have some flexibility with scheduling needs
