About Katherine

Hi there, my name is Katie and I'm an energetic and compassionate 30-year-old. I'm currently pursuing my bachelor's degree at CSULB in Child Development and Family Studies and I've been lucky enough to have worked in the field for over 12 years now. I've worked everywhere from daycares, children's museums, preschools, elementary schools and most recently as a children's skateboard instructor. I'm naturally a very silly and funny gal and love being able to express that side with the kids I work with. My specialties include doing art, pretend play, reading books, playing at parks, creating games on the fly, and encouraging self-expression and independence while offering children a stable base to grow off of. I genuinely love working with all ages of children and their families from infancy on and have experience with all ages as well. Along with my experience in the field, I am also CPR and First-aid certified.
