About Katherine

Hi, my name is Katherine (Kat) and I'm a college student at UNCC with four years of experience caring for children of all ages (babies to teens). My mother has been a first grade teacher all my life and I've always loved to work with kids and see how they think and play. I strive to create a comfortable and safe environment where kids can be kids, learning and playing as they go on. I believe in honest communication with parents and I like to share pictures of their child's day if they so choose to be involved in the fun! I will not take a parental role or advantage of my authority, but I'm comfortable enforcing household rules and will follow any instructions left for me. I love playing games, watching their favorite movies, and doing whatever activities these children would do on a normal basis. I have experience watching up to three children at once, and have also taken care of pets and plants.
