About Katherine

I love working with kids because I find joy in children's curiosity, energy, and unique views of the world. I am currently working full time in environmental education, and my hope is to help inspire a whole new generation to be passionate about nature. I am in North Cape May currently working as a Zookeeper at the Cape May Zoo, so my availability would be mostly in the evenings. I have worked in child care on and off for around 8 years. Most of which has been with one family helping to care for their daughter since her infancy. Additionally, I have over 6 years experience working with children in large groups through education volunteer work at my local aquarium. In my spare time, I like to crochet, watch movies, go to the beach with my friends, read books, and cook! I am calm under pressure, I thrive in high activity environments and I am always ready to try new things. My skills include patience, creativity, and I am Red Cross first aid/CPR/AED certified for all ages!
