About Katherine

Hi, I'm Kath. I am currently an educator at California Academy of Sciences, but I'm looking to transition into some more flexible work while I gear up to go to grad school next fall. Working with children of all ages is the best part of my job, so I am offering childcare services. I have about five years of professional experience providing childcare, working with ages as young as 16 months and up to about 14 years. I have worked in a variety of childcare settings, from outdoor education camps to afterschool programs to in-home care. In addition to professional care, as the eldest of all the grandkids on both sides of my family, I've been caring for my younger family members for most of my life. In my current role I provide a variety of early childhood education programs. I have developed programs about art and science and love seeing the amazing ways kids can think and create! My favorite thing is learning from littles.
